Overview
This design document details the DC2014A demonstration circuit, a micropower isolated flyback converter based on the LT8302. The circuit delivers a 5V output from an input range of 10V to 30V, supporting load currents up to 2.2A. The LT8302 samples the isolated output voltage directly from the primary-side flyback waveform, eliminating the need for an opto-isolator or a third transformer winding. It features boundary mode operation for high load regulation, low ripple Burst Mode for light-load efficiency, and an integrated 3.6A, 65V DMOS power switch.
