Overview

The UG-152 document provides technical details for the EVAL-ADXRS624 evaluation board, which facilitates the testing of the ADXRS624 ±50°/sec single-chip yaw rate gyro. The board features a 20-lead, dual in-line interface with 0.1-inch pin spacing, enabling prototyping without the need for BGA soldering. The guide includes a complete schematic, component layout, and bill of materials. By default, the board is configured for a 10 Hz bandwidth using a 100 nF capacitor, though this can be modified by the user to adjust the noise floor and frequency response. It also provides instructions on power supply connections and handling precautions.

Use Cases

  • Performance evaluation of the ADXRS624 gyro
  • Prototyping motion sensing applications
  • Robotics orientation and stabilization
  • Industrial platform leveling
