Overview

The ADL8150-EVALZ is a 4-layer evaluation board designed for the ADL8150, a Gallium Arsenide (GaAs), Heterojunction Bipolar Transistor (HBT), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC), low phase noise amplifier operating between 6 GHz and 14 GHz. The board is fabricated with Rogers 4350B and Isola 370HR materials and utilizes 50 Ω grounded coplanar waveguide traces. For power management, it includes an integrated LT3045 ultra-low noise, high PSRR linear regulator configured to provide a clean 5V supply, which can be adjusted or bypassed for direct external biasing. The design features 2.9 mm female coaxial connectors for RF input/output and includes a through calibration path to account for board trace losses.
