The device provides an indoor range of up to 3000 ft (900 m) and an outdoor line-of-sight range of up to 40 miles (64 km) with a high-gain antenna. Utilizing FSK modulation and FHSS spread spectrum, it runs on a 7V to 28V DC supply, drawing 110 mA to 900 mA during transmit and 110 mA during receive. Engineered for harsh environments, it maintains performance across an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with dimensions of 2.75 x 5.50 x 1.13 inches (6.99 x 13.97 x 2.86 cm) and an RPSMA antenna connector.
