System clock chip generates clock outputs for ATI RS480 systems using AMD K8 processors. The device provides three 14.318 MHz reference clocks, one 48 MHz USB clock, HyperTransport and PCI clock seeds, two AMD K8 differential clock pairs, and eight SRC or PCI Express differential clock pairs. SMBus-compatible control allows clock outputs to be disabled, and programmable clock-request pins control selected SRC outputs. Operation is specified from 0°C to 70°C with a 3.3 V supply tolerance of plus or minus 5 percent. Package options include 56-lead SSOP and 56-lead TSSOP formats.
