Fully integrated synchronous buck regulator with an internal PWM controller and OptiMOS FETs for single-voltage point-of-load conversion. It supports 4.3 V to 17 V single-supply operation or 2.0 V to 17 V operation with an external VCC bias, with a 0.6 V ±0.5% reference and an internally set 800 kHz switching frequency. The IR3888A version delivers up to 20 A continuous output current and operates from -40 °C to 125 °C junction temperature. Protection features include thermally compensated overcurrent protection, overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, pre-bias startup, power good output, and thermal shutdown. The device is supplied in a PG-IQFN-22-2 6 mm x 5 mm package and is halogen-free and RoHS compliant with exemption 7a.
