This isolated high-current gate-driver family is designed to drive SiC FETs, IGBTs, and silicon MOSFETs in inverter and motor-control systems. It integrates desaturation detection, fault and power-state feedback, active-low reset recovery, separate pull-up and pull-down outputs, and an integrated Miller clamp for strong turn-off. Si8285 orderables are offered in a wide-body SOIC-16 package, use PWM input control, operate from -40 °C to 125 °C, and provide 4 A peak output current. Family variants support up to 5.0 kVRMS isolation per UL1577, with some electrical thresholds depending on suffix.
