Vertical, surface mount, ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) connector for flexible flat cable (FFC) and flexible printed circuit (FPC) applications. Features a 0.5mm pitch, 40 positions, and a single row configuration. Designed for flex-to-board connection with a 500mA contact current rating and 50V voltage rating. Constructed with gold-plated bronze contacts, a thermoplastic actuator, and a glass dielectric, offering a wide operating temperature range of -4°C to 185°C. This shrouded, female connector is UL94 V-0 flammability rated and supplied in tape and reel packaging.
