The AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ is a high-speed analog module designed to showcase the AD9361, a high-performance, highly integrated RF agile transceiver. The board contains two AD9361 transceivers, enabling the creation of a 4x4 MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) system. It is software-tunable across a wide frequency range from 70 MHz to 6.0 GHz with a channel bandwidth of 200 kHz to 56 MHz. The platform includes dual ADG918 SPDT switches to create a calibration matrix between the two transceivers, allowing for full digital and RF synchronization. It is designed to interface with FPGA development platforms via dual FMC connectors and is particularly suited for software-defined radio (SDR) applications like transmit beamforming and receive angle of arrival detection.
