The MAX96706 is a compact 14-bit GMSL deserializer designed for automotive camera applications. It features adaptive equalization and an output crosspoint switch to map data to any output. The device supports an embedded control channel that operates in UART, I2C, and mixed modes, allowing programming of the serializer and camera registers independent of video timing. It is compatible with standard FAKRA coaxial or shielded-twisted pair (STP) cables and is optimized for high-speed data transmission up to 1.74Gbps.
