This single transmitter/receiver IC supports multidrop and multipoint data transmission with differential signaling for both transmitter and receiver. Features include a 20Mbps minimum data rate, 3-state driving mode, and operation from a single 4.5V to 5.5V supply. Designed for surface mounting, it offers 1 driver and 1 receiver per line for RS-422 and up to 128 for RS-485, with a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
