The SiC478 is a wide input voltage high efficiency synchronous buck regulator with integrated high side and low side power MOSFETs. Its power stage is capable of supplying 5 A continuous current at up to 2 MHz switching frequency. This regulator produces an adjustable output voltage down to 0.8 V from a 4.5 V to 55 V input rail. The architecture delivers ultrafast transient response with minimum output capacitance and tight ripple regulation at light load. It includes a full protection set: overcurrent (OCP), output overvoltage (OVP), short circuit (SCP), output undervoltage (UVP), and thermal shutdown (OTP).
