The VEML3328 is a multi-spectrum color sensor that senses red, green, blue, clear, and IR light by incorporating photodiodes, amplifiers, and analog/digital circuits into a single CMOS chip. It features 16-bit resolution for each channel and supports low transmittance (dark) lens designs. The sensor is designed for adjusting display backlight brightness and color temperature based on ambient light and can differentiate between indoor and outdoor lighting environments.
