3M Low Static Polyimide Film Tape 5419 is a translucent, gold-colored ribbon tape consisting of a DuPont Kapton polyimide film with a silicone adhesive. It is specifically designed for high-temperature applications such as PCB solder masking and surface protection. The tape employs a proprietary technology that results in extremely low electrostatic discharge (ESD) at unwind and removal from the printed wiring board, preventing damage to sensitive electronic components. It is flame retardant, chemical resistant, and does not soften at elevated temperatures.
