You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm Datasheets.com, our systems, advertisers, partners, or other users.

Accounts, credentials, and access

When you create an account or use a protected feature, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and API keys. You are also responsible for activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we believe your account, credentials, or usage create risk for the Services or violate these Terms.

You may not use the Site or Services to do any of the following:

  • Use the Site or Services in any unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive manner.
  • Attempt to disable, overload, damage, stress test, or interfere with the Site, Services, infrastructure, advertising systems, or other users.
  • Bypass or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, robots controls, security measures, or other technical restrictions.
  • Copy or mirror site except as expressly permitted by us in writing.

API terms

Use of our APIs, including the product search API and any related keys, is subject to the following rules:

  • API keys are for the account holder and must be kept confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs using your account and API credentials.
  • You may use the API only in compliance with the published limits, documentation, and any additional restrictions we provide.
  • You may not use the API to mirror or create a substitute for Datasheets.com, or to republish our data publicly on another website, application, or service without our prior written permission.
  • If you want to display Datasheets.com content to users on your site or application, you must use our widget, link back to Datasheets.com, or have another written agreement with us that expressly allows that use.
  • Where public use is permitted, attribution to Datasheets.com must be clear and reasonably prominent. Missing or removed attribution may result in suspension or termination of API access or other Services.

If you need higher limits, broader rights, reseller terms, or any other expanded access beyond the default service limitations, contact us at [email protected]. Any such expanded access will be governed by the separate written agreement, if any, between you and Datasheets.com.

Public display, widgets, and attribution

Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, you may not take data, search results, or other content from Datasheets.com and display it publicly on another website, product, or service as if it were your own or without attribution. If you want to show Datasheets.com information publicly, use our widget or link users back to Datasheets.com directly. Where attribution is required, it must remain visible and reasonably prominent.

BOM Manager and uploaded content

The BOM Manager and similar tools let you upload or submit files and other content. By doing so, you agree to the following:

  • You may upload BOMs, spreadsheets, PDFs, images, and other content only if you have all rights, permissions, and authority needed to provide that content to us and allow us to process it.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and suitability of anything you upload or submit through the BOM Manager or other account tools.
  • By submitting content, you authorize us to process that content and any extracted or derived data to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
  • We may remove submitted content, suspend processing, or restrict access if we believe the content or its use violates these Terms, another agreement, or applicable law.

Please also review our Privacy Policy for additional details about how we handle submitted information.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time, including features, limits, APIs, widgets, and account access. We may also investigate suspected misuse and suspend or terminate access immediately for violations of these Terms, including abusive traffic, unauthorized crawling, circumvention of limits, or public display of Datasheets.com data without required attribution.
