The ACL 395 is a handheld, battery-operated surface resistivity meter designed to measure the electrical resistivity and resistance of conductive, dissipative, and insulative materials. It utilizes the parallel bar electrode method according to ASTM D257. The device features a sophisticated internal transformer to convert a 9V battery charge into 10V or 100V test voltages, ensuring accuracy across the measurement range. The meter displays values using a color-coded LED scale that includes half-decade increments for increased precision. It is built with conductive rubber rails to ensure optimal contact with the testing surface. When used with optional external 5-lb probes, it can perform Point-to-Point (RTT) and Resistance-to-Ground (RTG) testing in accordance with ESDA standards.
