The NSL-5150 is a Cadmium Sulfide (CdS) photocell, also known as a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR), designed for visible light measurement in the 400 nm to 700 nm range. It is packaged in a hermetically sealed TO-18 metal can with a flat lens, offering high stability and moisture resistance. The device provides an analog resistance output that decreases as light intensity increases, with a spectral response closely matching the human eye. It features a high dark resistance of at least 10 MΩ and is suitable for industrial applications, audio compressors, and light meters.
