The TMF8829 is a direct time-of-flight (dToF) optical distance sensor module. It achieves up to 5000 mm target detection distance and provides multizone output data in 3x3, 4x4, 3x6, or 8x8 configurations. The device integrates a 940nm VCSEL, a SPAD array, and a high-efficiency on-chip histogram processing engine. It includes a multi-lens-array (MLA) to widen the Field of Illumination and supports a wide, dynamically adjustable Field of View.
