The device operates from a single 5 V supply and supports sample rates from 5.5 kHz to 48 kHz. Its serial digital interface carries 16-bit audio data plus control and status information using a TDM scheme compatible with DSP serial ports. The codec provides selectable stereo analog inputs, programmable gain and attenuation, on-chip signal filters, and low-power shutdown operation.
