Multicell battery stack monitor measures up to 12 series-connected battery cells with less than 1.5 mV lifetime total measurement error. The 0 V to 5 V cell measurement range supports common battery chemistries, and all 12 cells can be measured in 304 µs. The device uses a built-in isoSPI interface for 2 Mb isolated serial communication over a single twisted pair up to 20 m. Passive cell balancing is supported up to 300 mA per channel with programmable PWM control.
