Integrated vector network analyzer front end combines a resistive bidirectional bridge, downconversion mixers, programmable IF amplifiers and filters, and a flexible LO interface. The RF signal path operates from 10 MHz to 20 GHz and is wideband matched to 50 Ω with low insertion loss. The IF signal path provides SPI-programmable bandwidth from 1 MHz to 100 MHz and programmable gain in 6 dB steps. A 3-wire SPI interface configures the LO, IF, synchronization, shutdown, and on-chip temperature readback functions.
