Step-up DC-to-DC switching converter integrates a power switch and can generate an adjustable output voltage up to 20 V. The ADP1613 version supports a 2.0 A current limit and operates from input voltages down to 2.5 V. Pin-selectable PWM switching at 650 kHz or 1.3 MHz supports compact external inductors and capacitors. Adjustable soft start, undervoltage lockout, thermal shutdown, and logic-controlled enable functions are included in a lead-free 8-lead MSOP package.
