Precision low-dropout linear regulator provides a fixed 5.0 V output with 100 mA load capability. The regulator operates from a 3 V to 12 V supply range and has 100 mV typical dropout voltage at 100 mA. It is stable with a 0.47 µF output capacitor of any ESR type and includes shutdown, error flag, current limiting, and thermal limiting functions. Accuracy is specified at ±0.8% at 25 °C and ±1.4% over line, load, and temperature conditions.
