Synchronous step-up LED driver provides fixed-frequency peak-current control for LED strings. The device operates from a 2.8 V to 36 V input range and supports up to 34 V LED string voltage with 2.3 A, 40 V internal switches. LED current regulation and output voltage regulation are both specified at ±2%, and external PWM dimming supports a 25,000:1 ratio at 100 Hz. Switching frequency is programmable from 200 kHz to 2 MHz, with synchronization and spread-spectrum frequency modulation for reduced EMI. The EUFD ordering option uses a thermally enhanced 28-lead 4 mm by 5 mm plastic QFN package rated for -40 °C to 125 °C junction operation.
