Synchronous step-down regulator uses Silent Switcher architecture to reduce EMI while operating at high switching frequencies. The device supports a 3.4 V to 42 V input range and delivers 5 A continuous output current with 7 A peak transient capability. External compensation enables fast transient response and current sharing. The regulator provides Burst Mode operation, forced continuous mode, spread-spectrum operation, soft-start, power-good signaling, and synchronization from 200 kHz to 3 MHz. It is supplied in a 20-lead 4 mm by 3 mm LQFN package and includes automotive-qualified ordering options.
