Synchronous step-down DC/DC converter operates from a 2.25 V to 5.5 V input supply and delivers up to 3 A output current. The regulator uses constant-frequency peak current mode control with a programmable 1 MHz to 3 MHz switching frequency and a 22 ns minimum on-time. Silent Switcher architecture reduces EMI, while Burst Mode, pulse-skip, and forced-continuous operation support efficiency and low-noise use cases. The output adjusts from 0.5 V to the input voltage with ±1% output-voltage accuracy over temperature. Protection and control features include power good, internal compensation, soft start, output overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, clock synchronization, and up to 100% duty-cycle operation.
