Peak-current-mode flyback controller supports low-voltage DC-DC power supplies over a 4.5V to 36V input range. The controller drives an external n-channel MOSFET and provides programmable 100kHz to 1MHz switching with optional synchronization. Integrated protection includes adjustable current limit, cycle-by-cycle peak current limiting, hiccup-mode short-circuit protection, input overvoltage protection, soft-start, slope compensation, and thermal shutdown. The orderable variants use a 16-pin TQFN exposed-pad package and operate from -40°C to +125°C.
