The ES-279 is an 8-port RS232 Ethernet to Serial device server housed in an IP-30 rated steel enclosure. It provides access to eight RS232 serial ports over a network, supporting data transfer rates up to 1,000,000 baud. The device features 2048 byte TX and RX FIFOs and is designed for demanding flow control and latency applications such as CNC/DNC machine communications. It supports serial port tunneling for cable replacement and is compatible with Windows via local COM port drivers, as well as Linux and other operating systems through TCP/IP sockets.
