The CMX869B is a multi-standard single-chip modem IC for use in EPOS terminals and telephone-based telemetry systems. It provides the functions needed to implement an ITU V.32 bis automode modem with fallback through to 4800 bps, or manual modes for V.22 bis, V.22, V.21, and Bell 202/103. It integrates a V.32 bis automode modem, high-performance DTMF codec, software-controlled relay driver, ring detector, and differential or single-ended line interfaces. Data transfer and control are managed via CML's C-BUS serial interface.
