DC1468A: LTC3554 Micropower USB Power Manager with Two Step-Down Regulators
Demonstration circuit DC1468A featuring the LTC3554, a micropower USB power manager with a battery charger and two dual synchronous step-down regulators.
Overview
The DC1468A is a demonstration circuit for the LTC3554EPD, a highly integrated power management solution for portable USB-powered applications. It includes a USB power manager, a Li-ion/polymer battery charger, and two high-efficiency step-down (buck) regulators. The board supports an input voltage range of 4.35V to 6V and provides dual outputs of 3.35V and 1.25V at up to 200mA each. Key features include a pushbutton controller for power sequencing, adjustable input current limits (100mA or 500mA), and a low-current standby mode drawing approximately 10μA from the battery. The system is designed to prioritize load requirements of the buck regulators over battery charging.
