Demonstration circuit 849B showcases the LTC3499BEDD, a 1.2MHz synchronous boost converter with a 750mA switch current limit. The design provides a jumper-selectable 3.3V output at 250mA from a two-cell input or a 5V output at 170mA from either two-cell or Li-Ion batteries. It features integrated reverse battery protection up to -6V, output disconnect, and inrush current limiting. Additional integrated features include peak current limit, soft-start, antiringing control, and thermal shutdown for space-constrained portable applications.
