Overview

The DC901A demonstration circuit features the LTC3444, a 1.5MHz fixed frequency micropower synchronous buck-boost DC/DC converter. Designed for Li-Ion or three-cell NiCd/NiMH battery applications, it accepts an input voltage between 3.1V and 5.0V. The output voltage is adjustable from 0.8V to 4.2V using a control signal ranging from 0.35V to 2.4V. The circuit is optimized for 3G WCDMA applications, providing the fast transient response necessary for RF power amplifier slewing and featuring built-in output overvoltage protection.
