Overview

The DC914 is a demonstration circuit for the LTC3210, a multi-display LED controller featuring a low-noise charge pump. The LTC3210 is designed to drive four MAIN LEDs and one high-current CAM LED with high efficiency by automatically switching between 1X, 1.5X, and 2X boost modes based on dropout detection. The DC914 board utilizes an onboard PIC controller to interface between a DC590 USB controller and the LTC3210 via a 2-wire I2C serial interface. Users can adjust brightness through eight dimming states for both displays, configure flash durations from 50ms to 1000ms, and set pulse timing parameters (TON, TOFF, and TSD) for the enable pins using the QuikEval software.

Use Cases

  • Mobile phone display and keypad backlighting
  • Digital camera flash and torch applications
  • Handheld device LED power management
  • Portable electronics requiring high-efficiency LED driving
