Overview

This document provides comprehensive instructions for using the Eclipse-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) within the Infineon ModusToolbox software suite. It details the process of installing and launching the IDE, configuring toolchains such as GCC_ARM, IAR, and LLVM_ARM, and using the Project Creator tool to initialize applications. The guide covers building applications using Make or Eclipse, as well as programming and debugging procedures for specific hardware including PSOC MCUs, AIROC Bluetooth devices, and XMC1xxx/4xxx microcontrollers. Additionally, it explains how to manage libraries, Board Support Packages (BSPs), and utilize integrated configuration tools and terminals for embedded development.

Use Cases

  • Setting up a multi-platform development environment for Infineon MCUs
  • Configuring GCC_ARM or IAR toolchains for embedded projects
  • Programming and debugging PSOC and XMC microcontrollers
  • Importing and exporting ModusToolbox applications
  • Using Project Creator to initialize BSP-based code examples
