EVAL-ADXL371Z User Guide (UG-1867)

User guide for the EVAL-ADXL371Z, a small-form-factor evaluation board for the ADXL371 ±200 g 3-axis digital MEMS accelerometer.

View design document

Overview

The EVAL-ADXL371Z is an evaluation board designed for the ADXL371 micropower, 3-axis, ±200 g digital output MEMS accelerometer. The 20 mm x 20 mm board is sized to minimize the impact on system acceleration measurements and features 0.1-inch spaced vias for header population, facilitating attachment to breadboards or system PCBs. The document provides technical specifications, a circuit description highlighting power supply bypass capacitors (0.1 μF and 10 μF), complete schematics, PCB layout artwork, and a detailed bill of materials. An external host processor is required to interface with the device via digital communication lines.

Use Cases

  • Evaluation of ADXL371 accelerometer performance
  • Prototyping high-g motion detection systems
  • Impact and shock measurement testing
  • Integrating low-power MEMS sensors into existing systems
