Overview

This document provides instructions for evaluating the MAX14827 IO-Link transceiver and industrial-sensor output driver. It details the setup process using the MAX14827 EV kit in conjunction with an ARM mbed board, specifically the STM32 Nucleo-F103R. The guide covers software installation, hardware jumper configurations, and GUI operation. It explains how to configure and monitor the device in both pin-mode and SPI-mode, including register manipulation, C/Q and DO output control, and driving inputs with external signal sources.

Use Cases

  • IO-Link device development
  • Industrial sensor output driving
  • SPI interface testing
  • Hardware prototyping with mbed
  • Industrial automation sensor design
