Overview
The GateMateA1-EVB is an evaluation board designed for the Cologne Chip CCGM1A1 FPGA, which features 20,480 logic cells, 1,280 Kb of Block RAM, and a 5 Gb/s SerDes interface. The board integrates 64Mbit PSRAM, 2MB configuration Flash, and a Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller to handle USB-C programming and debugging. It includes specialized interfaces such as VGA, PS2, PMOD, and Olimex's UEXT connector. The design supports adjustable core voltages (0.9V to 1.1V) and selectable I/O bank voltages (1.2V to 2.5V). Synthesis is supported via the Yosys framework and Cologne Chip's proprietary place-and-route software.
