Overview

Demonstration circuit 1222A features the LT3682, a monolithic step-down DC/DC switching regulator. The board is designed to provide a 5V output from an input voltage range of 6.9V to 36V, withstanding transients up to 60V. It supports a maximum load current of 1A and operates at a typical switching frequency of 800kHz. The design allows for jumper-selectable Burst Mode for light-load efficiency or fixed frequency mode for constant switching. Key features include an integrated boost diode, current mode control for fast transient response, and a RUN/SS pin for soft-start programming and micropower shutdown. The document provides performance specifications, hardware setup instructions, and measurement procedures for evaluating the LT3682EDD.

Use Cases

  • Automotive battery power regulation
  • Industrial power supplies
