Overview

This design document provides technical specifications and setup instructions for Demonstration Circuit 425B, which features the LTC3440 constant-frequency synchronous buck-boost converter. The circuit operates over an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, making it suitable for single-cell lithium-ion or three-cell NiCd/NiMH battery applications. It is configured for a 3.3V output and can deliver up to 500mA of load current at minimum input voltage with efficiency reaching 95%.
