Overview

Demonstration circuit 884 (DC884A) is a high current density power supply featuring the LTC3828EUH dual-output, 2-phase synchronous buck regulator. The board delivers 2.0V and 1.5V outputs at up to 17A each from a typical input range of 5V to 12V. Its compact 1.35” x 0.8” layout achieves a current density of up to 40A/inch². The design supports voltage tracking, allowing one output to track the other or an external ramp during startup. It also features selectable modes for high efficiency or low output ripple at light loads, and can be synchronized to an external clock via the CLOCKOUT pin.
