Overview
This document provides guidelines for the initial operation and setup of the NXP CLRD730 reader, also known as Pegoda. The reader is based on the PN7642 NFC controller and features built-in support for both contactless (ISO/IEC 14443-4) and contact (ISO/IEC 7816) smart card interfaces. The guide details installation procedures for Windows environments where the device is recognized as a PC/SC reader by default. It describes the use of RFIDDiscover, NFC Cockpit, and Card Test Framework software tools for communicating with various tags and cards, including MIFARE Classic, DESFire, MIFARE SAM AV3, and NTAG products. Additionally, it provides instructions for firmware management via the PN7642's internal M33 flash memory and explains the transition between PC/SC and VCOM operation modes.
