Overview

This quick start guide details the setup and operation of the MRB-KW01 Development Platform, powered by the NXP MKW01Z128 wireless microcontroller. The hardware features a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ core with 128 KB Flash and 16 KB SRAM, offering programmable output power up to +17 dBm. The document provides instructions for standalone jumper configurations, USB-to-PC interface setup, and utilizing the Radio Utility Application for packet handling demonstrations. It also covers secondary hardware configurations using the TWR-RF-MRB board and provides guidance for fine-tuning the 32 MHz reference crystal frequency to compensate for unit-to-unit errors.

Use Cases

  • Wireless radio performance evaluation
  • Sub-GHz packet transmission testing
  • SWD hardware debugging
