Overview

The S32Z280-400EVB is a development platform for the NXP S32Z2 family of high-performance real-time processors. Based on a 16 nm S32Z280 processor in a 400 MAPBGA package, the board integrates real-time and DSP/ML processing capabilities with hardware virtualization. Key onboard features include the FS86 ASIL D System Basis Chip, PF5030 Power Management IC, and multiple communication interfaces such as Gigabit Ethernet, CAN FD, and USB-to-UART. For storage and memory, it provides Infineon SEMPER Flash, Quad Flash, and a Micro SD card socket. The board is designed for automotive safety processing and zonal control, offering compatibility with the S32X-MB for expanded I/O and motor control functionality.

Use Cases

  • Automotive domain and zonal control
  • Real-time safety processing development
  • Vehicle integration platform (GreenVIP) prototyping
  • Battery Management System (BMS) isolated networking
  • DSP and Machine Learning application evaluation
