Overview

The PD-170-57 is a complete mechatronic PANdrive solution that integrates a 57mm (NEMA23) brushless DC motor with a TMCM-170 servo controller and an optical encoder. The system features an integrated position regulator and ramp generator, supporting parameterized positioning via RS232, RS485, or CAN interfaces. It operates on a power supply range of 14V to 48V DC. This document provides hardware connection details for the driver and I/O boards, including pinouts for Hall sensors, encoders, and multi-purpose I/Os. It also outlines initial software setup using the TMCM-170 basic software and TMCL-IDE for configuring motion parameters such as velocity, position, and current limits.
