Overview

This user guide provides technical details for the PIC32CM JH01 Curiosity Nano+ Touch Evaluation Kit (EV29G58A/5). The board centers on the PIC32CM5164JH01048 microcontroller, which includes an Arm Cortex-M0+ CPU and a Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) for capacitive touch applications. Hardware features include an on-board Nano Debugger (nEDBG) for programming and debugging via USB without external tools, CAN and LIN communication interfaces, a mechanical switch, and a dedicated touch button. The kit supports adjustable target voltages from 1.7V to 3.6V via a MIC5353 LDO regulator and is compatible with the Curiosity Nano base for expansion with Click boards and Xplained Pro sockets.

Use Cases

  • Capacitive touch interface development
  • Automotive communication prototyping using CAN and LIN
  • Embedded security evaluation with secure boot features
  • Low-power application prototyping
  • General-purpose Arm Cortex-M0+ firmware development
