Overview

Demonstration Circuit 412 (DC412) is a synchronous step-down regulator evaluation platform featuring the LTC3713 No RSENSE switching regulator controller. It is designed for low input voltage applications ranging from 1.7V to 6V, providing a 1.25V output at up to 10A of current. The design includes an onboard boost converter to generate necessary gate-drive voltage for standard 5V logic-level N-Channel MOSFETs. The guide outlines jumper settings for operation modes, including forced continuous and discontinuous modes, and details performance specifications such as output ripple and efficiency. It also provides procedures for proper equipment setup and overcurrent latchoff configuration.

Use Cases

  • Microprocessor power supplies
