Overview

This document provides setup and installation instructions for the NXP TSSEVB Touch-Sensing Software Evaluation Board. The board is designed to evaluate capacitive touch-sensing for the S08 microcontroller family using the MC9S08LG32 MCU. It includes on-board components such as an LCD glass display, multiplexed keypad electrodes, sliders, and rotary electrodes. The board utilizes two MC9S08JM60 MCUs for open-source BDM programming and communication with a PC-based electrode graphing tool. The guide covers CodeWarrior Development Studio installation, hardware connection via USB or external power, and procedures for running and debugging the pre-loaded demo application.

Use Cases

  • Capacitive touch interface development
  • Evaluation of S08 family microcontrollers
  • Integrating LCD displays with touch controls
