Overview

The BB-101 is a base board designed for the TMCM-101 single-axis 2-phase stepper motor controller and driver module. It provides integrated access to motor connections, power supply, and reference switches via screw terminals, alongside industry-standard headers for encoder feedback and 16 general-purpose I/Os. The board includes a switch-mode regulator to generate a 5V supply from an input range of 15V to 28.5V DC. It supports communication via RS-232, RS-485, and CAN interfaces and is compatible with the TMCM-101 module which utilizes the Atmel AT90CAN128 microcontroller and TMC428 motion controller. The board is rated for up to 3A RMS (4.2A peak) coil current and includes StallGuard for sensorless reference search.
