The Digi XBee for Wi-SUN is a wireless communication module supporting the open Wi-SUN protocol for low-power, wide-area network (LPWAN) mesh networking. It operates in the 900 MHz sub-GHz frequency band for long-range communications in smart cities, smart grids, and industrial IoT applications. The module features encryption and authentication security, is pin-compatible with other Digi XBee modules, and supports both battery-operated and mains-powered operation.
