The EPC9137 demonstration board is a 1.5 kW, 48 V to 12 V bidirectional buck or boost converter featuring the EPC2206 eGaN FET. The board is designed to operate at 250 kHz switching frequency and can achieve 97% efficiency. Primarily intended for 48 V mild-hybrid automotive systems and high-density computing power supplies, it allows for high current delivery in a compact form factor. The board includes a dsPIC33CK digital controller from Microchip, gate drivers, and current sensing for closed-loop control.
